Epic collapse...

The Broncos have given upany chance to make the playoffs with an epic second half collapse against the Chiefs. We are now down 44-24. It's hard to understand how we could be losing so badly to the Chiefs at home.

Orton has been terrible. The defense was terrible. The play-calling has been terrible. And, I think McDaniels lost the team by suspending Marshall and Scheffler, because the Broncos did not come prepared to play today.

As you can all see, I have changed the name of the blog back to Fire Josh McDaniels Now. We need a new coach.

  2. i give mcdaniels one more year, but this seems to be exactly what happened last year with mike. Josh's decisions haven't been all bad, but the playcalling during games the 2nd half of this season leaves much to be desired.....

  3. I agree josh has never gained the respect of the team. He came in demanding respect rather than earning it. Rather than working with the talent that WAS here he said my way or the hiway, sounds like hitler, so we lost cutler and now marshall, scheffler, and anyother self respecting player with talent. This is not an individual game, but a game that relies on individual talent. Mcdaniels doesn't understand this.

  4. This is a franchise that has reached the Superbowl on every previous occasion it had made a 6-0 start. It didn't even make the playoffs this time. In my opinion, the Josh McDaniels experiment has FAILED. Not good enough.

  5. McDaniels basically took a good team with up and coming young talent (Cutler, Marshall, Royal) and razed the team and is burning it to the ground.

He's Nero playing his fiddle while Rome is burning.

  6. I can't say I disagree with any comment. Being a Bear fan, I have followed what happen with Kyle Orton. From the very beginning, I cheered against the Broncos, not because of Kyle Orton, but because of Josh McDaniel. He has an arrogance that just turns people away. Kyle Orton is a decent quarterback, but a team will never win with him. I know Cutler had a horrible year, but I am so glad to have Cutler instead of Orton. I wish the Broncos the best, but you really do need a new coach. Hopefully the same will happen in Chicago.

  7. Lol..none of you clowns expected him to do anything this year anyway so what the hell are you complaining about..lol..Broncos fans get funnier and dumber every year.

All you all are is pissed off that this Bronco team gave you a serious case of blue balls with a 6-0 start. Grow up babies.

McDaniels rules. Keep Orton..lose the big baby wide reciever (JUST LIKE SHANNAHAN WANTED TO LAST YEAR)

I loved the 6-0 start..loved Mcdaniels pumping his fist after the NE game, loved Mcdaniels cursing his team out...love it all..

BTW: For all you idiotic Cutler defenders, heres a stat..In his entire football life, Josh McDaniels as STILL never been apart of a losing season, and better yet, Jay Cutler in his entire life of football has never been apart of a winning one.

Chew on that you f*cking babies

    GO JOSH GO.

It's not just Cutler. It's EVERYBODY who happened to be a Shanahan holdover.

Eddie Royal and Peyton Hillis have great attitudes and work ethics. Not sure if Scheffler is quite that good a character, but I know he hasn't been an @$$hole like Marshall could be. So "attitude problem", which McDaniels uses as a catch-all reason, just doesn't fly.

McDaniels reminds me of a narcissistic middle manager, not a football coach. You know what happened to people who lost their jobs at the big financial firms... their supervisors couldn't just lay them off, they had to malign their characters and performance too.

What, does McDaniels think he's hedging his bets and bolstering his case by saying "everyone I benched deserved it anyway"? Because to me, he just looks like a jerkwad boss no one wants to work for.

  10. Josh McDaniels is a fine coach, a great evaluator of talent, a terrific game planner and a flat out Lombardi type motivator - AT THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL. All you Hoodie defenders are afraid to admit the fact that it is time for the Broncos to fall from grace for an extended period of time starting oh about 9 weeks ago. Inane game plans, little man complex gone wild and busts for draft pics. Good luck with your charachter guys McHoodie, You should coach at the Military academy little man.

Good move bringing back the proper name of this web site

  11. "GO JOSH GO"

    what are you....McD's unwanted son?
How idiotic can you be? what makes you think this little Napoleon can coach?
Once the surprise factor was gone, the team went straight downhill.
Look for that to continue in 2010....McD will chase away any player who is not absolutely loyal to HIM (not the team). By the end of next year only Orton and Gaffney will remain.

    Stephen:

6 other teams beat on the Pats, which have an average secondary and a very suspect run defense. If you still feel great beating them in 2009, keep your expectations lowered. While were at it, you should be concerned about MickeyD trying to beat the Chargers who don't exactly have the best defense but has transformed their pass attack to new heights.
